FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is a travel eSIM?
A travel eSIM is a digital SIM profile that gives your phone mobile data in another country. You install it by scanning a QR code, with no plastic SIM card required.
Which phones support eSIM?
iPhone XS and newer, Samsung Galaxy S20 and newer, Google Pixel 3 and newer, and many other recent models. Your phone must be carrier-unlocked. See our compatibility page for the full list.
When should I install my eSIM?
Install it before your trip while you are on Wi-Fi. Most plans only start counting days when they first connect at your destination.
Can I keep my WhatsApp and phone number?
Yes. Your WhatsApp account is tied to your number, not your data connection, so it keeps working normally. Your physical SIM can stay active for calls and SMS.
Does the eSIM include calls and SMS?
Our travel plans are data-only. Use WhatsApp, FaceTime, Telegram or any internet calling app to stay in touch.
Can I share data via hotspot?
Yes, personal hotspot is supported on our plans.
How do I pay?
We accept PayPal and all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express and more) through PayPal’s secure checkout. You do not need a PayPal account to pay by card.
What if my eSIM does not work?
Contact our support team with your order number. If we cannot resolve the issue and the eSIM has not been used, you are eligible for a full refund under our refund policy.
Can I top up my eSIM?
Many plans support top-ups. Contact support with your order number and we will add data to your existing eSIM.
Can I use one eSIM in multiple countries?
Yes. Choose a regional or global plan to use a single eSIM across many countries.
Is a travel eSIM safe to use?
Yes. eSIM profiles are encrypted and installed via the GSMA standard used by mobile operators worldwide, and payments are processed securely by PayPal.
Can I buy my eSIM before I travel?
Yes, and we recommend it. Buy and install your eSIM at home; the plan’s validity only starts when it first connects at your destination.
